Marja Björk (b. 1958) is a Helsinki-based freelance author. An unfailingly accurate portrayer of people, her text creeps under the skin and exposes cysts of self-deception – and sensitive spots, too. She has previously published the novels Porcelain (2008), Puma (2010) and Prole (2012).
Prole is an important work, opening social wounds and, through excruciating pain, healing them as well. – Savon Sanomat
A daring novel about an important theme. Porcelain is anything but conventional. – Helsingin Sanomat
